I was born in Canada, and lived there until I was 18.
I bought my very first camera which I used to make movies, and even a few "sponsor me" tapes with friends. One of the most memorable creations was Shark Attack, a film inspired by Jaws with cheesy scenes, and even cheesier sequences. It was a blast.
After finishing high school I made the big move to Portugal. I studied a year of translation at Aveiro University, only to realise I was destined for different path.
Here's where I picked up some useful skills including: Web Design, Graphic Design, and video/sound editing.
Throughout university, one of my favourite projects had to be Redoor. It's a short film about a character who's lost in a strange alternate dimension. Aside from the fun we had creating it, we received a couple of awards from our school.
In 2012 I made another big move to Madrid where I studied a semester of advertising at the University of Rey Juan Carlos.
Almost immediately after finishing University I had the opportunity to do a 6-month internship at JWT Spain. Here, I worked as a Community Manager for brands like Nestlé and Corona Extra Europe.
I’m currently working at Effective Talk, which collaborates with JWT. I do community management, analytics and I’m gradually learning about the strategic side of digital marketing.
